I.  OSHA COMPLIANT FORKLIFT CERTIFICATIONS

Our Forklift certification program has skyrocketed over the past ten years. Because our students receive hands-on training following OSHA requirements, they are better prepared to apply for forklift jobs. After graduating, our students have gone on to obtain jobs in warehouses all over the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. We are so proud of them!

We currently offer hands-on training and certifications on the following forklifts:

CRITICAL WORK FUNCTIONS COVERED BY OSHA COMPLIANT COURSES AND ASSESSMENTS

OSHA Standard Training

  • Pre-operation inspections

  • Controls and Instrumentation

  • Engine or motor operation

  • Steering and maneuvering

  • Visibility

  • Fork and/or attachment adaption, operation and limitations of their use

  • Vehicle capacity

  • Vehicle stability

  • Vehicle inspection and maintenance the operator will be required to perform

  • Refueling and/or recharging batteries

  • Operating limitations

Basic Safety and Operational Training

  • General Safety Rules

  • Forklift  Operations

  • Lifting a load

  • Traveling with a load

  • Placing a load

  • Loading and Unloading trailers

  • Fueling the Forklift 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 18 years or older

  • Eligible to work in the USA.

  • Able to pass written and practical assessments 

  • Able to attend classes between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday

ASSESSMENTS

Individuals demonstrate their understanding of the core skills and knowledge through written and practical assessments based on the following OSHA safety and operational standards:

  • Forklift characteristics, including handling capacity, load center, and center of gravity

  • Procedures for handling loads

  • Hazards specific to the workplace or operation environment

  • Awareness of mechanical components and their functions

  • How to handle mechanical emergencies

  • Safe loading and unloading procedures

  • General safe operating procedures

  • Pre-Operational Equipment inspection

  • Maintenance requirements 

CREDENTIALS

Upon completion of courses, individuals who show written and practical mastery of core skills and knowledge will receive:

  • Three-year certification 

  • Printed certificate showing all forklifts mastered

  • Picture ID card showing all certifications earned

  • Copy of all classroom documents proving mastery of core skills and knowledge.

 

 

Senior Employment Programs

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a work-based training program for older Americans to build/enhance/update job skills to be able to look for and find a job. To be eligible, SCSEP applicants must be at least 55 years old, unemployed, meet the income requirements, have low employment prospects and need job skills training.

Fort Worth Hope Center provides on-the-job training opportunities to eligible participants in Logistics/Warehouse Operations, Clerical, Customer Service, and Building Maintenance. 

Candidates must participate in a job training program via one of the following agencies to qualify:

  • Texas Workforce Solutions

  • Rehabilitation Services

  • Community Action Partners(City of Fort Worth)

  • Community Learning Center

  • Community Enrichment Center
